The BRITA MAXTRA PRO Hard Water Expert filter can be used in specific water filtration jugs from the BRITA brand. With this, approximately 150 L of tap water can be filtered (the amount will depend on the hardness level of the water as well as its quality).
For a consumption of 2 L of water per day per person and to achieve optimal results, it is recommended to replace the MAXTRA PRO Hard Water Expert filter every 4 weeks or after filtering 150 L of water. After the recommended period, detach the lid of the filtration jug, carefully remove the funnel, and holding the filter by the sides, lift it out.
The filter features a super-fine mesh that retains coarse particles from old pipes, while micro-granules of carbon derived from natural coconut shells reduce chlorine and substances that affect the taste of the water, while filtering traces of pollutants such as certain herbicides, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals.
Through the powerful ion exchange fiber filtration technology, the freshly filtered water protects appliances from scale deposits, reduces metals such as lead and copper, and removes finer particles.
The MAXTRA PRO Hard Water Expert filter is 50% more effective at reducing scale compared to the MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance filter.
The additional high-performance mesh has 4 times better particle retention compared to the MAXTRA+ filter.
How does the water filtration process work?
