The router offers excellent WiFi 7 signal. Zero dead spots in the house, fast speeds, and stable connection on all devices. The UI is clean and relatively user-friendly.

The problem lies in compatibility with Greek providers. Cosmote requires VLAN tagging for PPPoE connection on fiber optic lines. The RT-BE50 does not support WAN-side VLAN tagging on its stock firmware, neither through the regular WAN settings nor through the LAN → IPTV bypass. As a result, it is impossible to connect directly to the Cosmote network. Or at least, I personally could not get it to work.

I ended up using it as an Access Point behind the Cosmote router in order to have better WiFi signal. However, for those who want to use it as the main router with Cosmote FTTH, its purchase is not recommended unless you are sure it is compatible with your provider and that its features will fully cover your needs. I also do not recommend it to people who do not have experience with technology matters.

-1 star because I believe it should be a bit cheaper, that is, under 80 euros.
