The godfather of hardcore music from New York and founding member of Agnostic Front invites you to his apartment in the Lower East Side to share stories from his unique life among mobsters, punk rockers, and a plethora of iconic artists and personalities—none of whom is as interesting as the incomparable Vinnie Stigma!
Born as Vincent Capuccio on December 3, 1955, Vinnie Stigma—affectionately known by countless friends and fans—is the founder and guitarist of the legendary hardcore band Agnostic Front. He is also one of the early punk rockers of the Big Apple, having frequented numerous alternative spots such as Max’s Kansas City, The Electric Circus, and of course, CBGB, when it was still known as Hilly’s on Bowery during the early 1970s.
The book "The Most Interesting Man in the World" spans from Vinnie's childhood in Little Italy among close-knit Italian families, as well as some prominent mafia members, to his collaboration with Cuban singer Roger Miret to carry the angry punk lineage worldwide; from the jobs that didn’t exist when he was young, which he procured through people who “protected” him, to shining on some of the biggest stages in the world.
However, Vinnie Stigma is not your average multi-decade rocker. He has dabbled in cooking, professional wrestling, acting, martial arts, yoga, and other creative disciplines. He is a father and a cancer survivor who has helped promote the culture of skinheads and tattoos in America, and he has mentored hundreds of young musicians and artists. Vinnie claims he is, first and foremost, an entertainer—something he learned from his childhood idols such as Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Lee, and Frank Sinatra.
The book includes vintage photographs, a series of signature Italian recipes, and even a four-panel comic story and crossword puzzle. "The Most Interesting Man in the World" is a journey through a life that is truly one of a kind.
