The Vaporfly 4 combines lightweight construction and top performance, offering comfort and durability with every kilometer. The reduced weight compared to the previous version does not affect its dynamics, while the Flyplate surface made of carbon fiber and the highly responsive ZoomX foam midsole ensure maximum speed on race day. This is an improved racing shoe, designed to reliably support every distance.

Lighter upper

The special mesh weave reduces the weight of the shoe and improves fit stability. Additionally, the size of the heel and tongue has been reduced for further weight reduction.

Lighter foam

The Nike ZoomX foam, with the highest responsiveness, has become even lighter. It extends from heel to toe, offering increased energy return thanks to the reduced amount of foam in the midsole. The result is an exceptionally bouncy and lightweight feel.

Lighter midsole and outsole

The protrusion in the midsole at the heel reduces the weight on the inner part of the shoe and improves the stability of your stride. The outsole has been made lighter by using thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3.

Speed at 100%

The full-length Flyplate carbon fiber surface has a greater incline compared to the Vaporfly 3 and is combined with a reduced height difference between the heel and forefoot, offering an intense propulsion sensation on race day.

What's new in the Vaporfly 4

  • Nike's most durable foam just got a little better. The midsole design combines lighter weight and even greater energy return by reducing foam in areas where it is not needed.
  • The full-length, rounded FlyPlate carbon fiber surface, lab-tested and runner-approved, provides a sense of propulsion and more energy from the foot and ankle.
  • The blown rubber outsole offers a dynamic combination of traction, durability, and cushioning. The softer material compresses to adapt to the road, providing better grip and smooth transitions.
  • The specially engineered mesh upper enhances comfort and fit consistency, while also contributing to the overall reduction of the shoe's weight.
