The ACV 42xty001 steering wheel control adapter retains the factory steering wheel control functions when replacing the factory radio with a compatible aftermarket multimedia unit. It provides an analogue connection with 10-pin, 6-pin and 20-pin plugs, as well as a steering wheel control connection with a 3.5 mm plug or bare wire. Depending on the vehicle’s equipment and the multimedia unit’s functions, some controls may not be supported or may be assigned to different functions.

It is compatible with Toyota and Lexus vehicles without a factory JBL, JBL Synthesis or Mark Levinson amplified sound system, and without an 18-pin CN 700 LAN connector. It is not suitable for vehicles with a factory Matsushita or Fujitsu Ten unit. Before installation, check connector compatibility and DIP switch settings as described in the multimedia unit’s manual.
