The Hilti SDS Max drill bit features a carbide head with X geometry and multiple cutting edges for hammer drilling in reinforced concrete, concrete, masonry, brick and limestone. The head design helps prevent jamming when it encounters reinforcing bars, while the fully integrated head increases the drill bit’s strength and service life.

The heat-treated flute is wear-resistant and features a wear indicator to assess whether the drill bit is suitable for anchor installation. The thinner, lighter spiral makes drilling easier and faster. It is used to drill holes for chemical and mechanical anchors, as well as to install reinforcing bars with Hilti injection mortar.
