I will never forget that morning when everything changed for me. The alarm clock rang and I was lying in bed, completely overwhelmed by our problems. As happens to so many of us, I was paralyzed by my own thoughts and the last thing I wanted to do was get up and face another day. But then something strange happened. Suddenly, a thought came to me that ultimately changed my life. It was so simple, almost funny. I remember watching a rocket launch and NASA’s countdown before liftoff: 5-4-3-2-1. I thought: What if I counted down like that and jumped out of bed? It seemed ridiculous, but I was desperate, so I decided to try it. I counted down: 5-4-3-2-1 – and I stood up. Just like that.
