The Extralink OPIP-1500W voltage inverter is a device that converts battery output voltage (direct current, DC) to 230V AC (alternating current). The 230V AC is the type of current provided by utility services for operating household appliances such as TVs, refrigerators, radios, lighting, or for charging laptops/mobile phones. If you already have a charged battery, connecting an inverter will allow you to power household appliances in areas without access to the electrical grid, such as in caravans, boats, or other remote locations. Inverters are also ideal for off-grid systems and backup power systems in case of power outages.
This is a pure sine wave inverter, which means that the 230 V AC output smoothly follows a pure sine wave and is almost identical to the regular electrical grid. A pure sine wave is much better than a square or modified sine wave for operating equipment.
- Suitable for a wider range of equipment.
- More efficient compared to modified sine wave inverters.
This particular model can produce 1,500W of continuous power and up to 3,000W of peak power. The maximum reserve power capacity is useful if more power is required to operate the device than during continuous operation.
Additionally, the inverter features a USB port for powering USB-compatible devices (e.g., mobile phones, tablets, laptops, MP3 players, etc.).
