    Shallow enough for the child to eat on their own (experts do not recommend deep plates for blw).
    I deduct one star solely because the instructions did not mention that occasionally you should rub it with a little coconut oil to maintain the wood in good condition. I simply washed and wiped it, and now there are black marks on the bottom.
    Also, you should always remove the suction cup when washing. The instructions do not mention this either.
    Overall, a durable plate that suctions exceptionally well and makes the eating process interesting for the child.
