Up to 3 Ethernet WAN Ports: 1 gigabit WAN port and 2 gigabit WAN/LAN ports with load balancing increase the utilization rate of multi-line broadband connections.

One USB WAN Port for Mobile Broadband: Mobile broadband connection via 4G/3G modem is supported for WAN backup through the USB port.

Highly Secure VPN: Supports up to 20× LAN-to-LAN IPsec, 16× OpenVPN*, 16× L2TP, and 16× PPTP VPN connections.

Rich Security Features: Advanced firewall policies, DoS protection, IP/MAC/URL filtering, and more security features protect your network and data.

Omada SDN—The Smartest Cloud Solution for Business Networking

As a gateway that seamlessly integrates into the Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform, the ER605 allows for remote and centralized management, anytime and anywhere. Standalone management via the user interface or Web application is also available to maximize convenience.

Up to three Gigabit WAN ports & one USB WAN for Mobile Broadband

Two freely interchangeable ports allow the router to support up to three WAN ports for various Internet access requirements. The multi-WAN load balancing function distributes data streams according to the bandwidth ratio of each WAN port to increase the utilization rate of the multi-line broadband connection. Mobile broadband connection via 4G/3G modem through USB port connection is also supported for WAN backup.

High-Security and High-Performance VPN

The ER605 supports IPSec/PPTP/L2TP VPN through IPSec/SSL protocols. The one-click automatic IPSec VPN significantly simplifies VPN configuration and facilitates network management and deployment. It also secures and encrypts private site-to-site data communications traveling over the Internet. This version improves VPN performance by 4–5 times thanks to the open communication line with Omada's user base.

Abundant security features

Powerful Firewall

Advanced firewall policies protect your network and data.

Convenient VLAN Support

Create virtual network segments for improved security and simplified network management.

DoS Defense

Automatically detects and blocks denial-of-service (DoS) attacks such as TCP/UDP/ICMP floods, Ping of Death, and other related threats.

Captive Portal authentication facilitates network resource control by logging, verifying, and categorizing user access. Appropriate network resources can also be allocated to specific users or guests.

Easy management with the Omada app

Follow the configuration instructions in the free Omada app to get set up in minutes. Omada allows you to configure settings, monitor network status, and manage clients, all from the comfort of a mobile device.

Imagine being able to combine up to 3 internet connections (Fixed, 5G, Starlink) that are aggregated as speed on the network, but NOT together on the same device, e.g., PC (which is not a problem), and if one connection drops, the others take over. You can create VLANs with isolation, you can have access from your PC's VLAN to other networks (IOT, Home Assistant, etc.), but the other networks cannot access each other, and there are a thousand and two other functions. This little device is worth every Euro! Update 8/5/26: I've been using it for a month now and I just love it. It's a beast. Only problem, with the latest updates, they changed the UI appearance, made it similar to Omada's logic, and the fonts and menus look terribly bad. But we ignore that..

Very good. It works both in standalone and in cloud Omada. However, be careful: if you have programmed it and then switch it to cloud Omada managed, it loses all previous settings - it resets. Reliable and relatively easy to program.

The most budget-friendly router with many features easily and quickly. It is also in the Omada series by TP-Link and can be managed by the controller if you want.

I think it has "issues" with VLANs when connected first with other managed Switches. I haven't reached a conclusion yet. So far, I have tried TP-Link + HP.

Unfortunately, while it does everything well, mainly connected to the Omada oc200 Controller, approximately once every 15 days it restarts on its own. I have been waiting for at least 1 year for a corrective update, but still nothing. I will consider returning it in case I have a faulty one, but I have read many forums with the same issue.

I can't provide a detailed review as the first one I got turned out to be faulty. I got a second one and it has the same problem again. They function, but not correctly. Their web interfaces are problematic. You can't perform basic functions. Stay away from it until an update is released to fix it.

I am the owner of the older model R470T+, so I know how to work with it well.
