"Minoli and the Universe" is an excellent children's comic book that does not underestimate children. It speaks to them as equals and discusses, in a simple and sincere way, the big questions of existence. Certainly, a book cannot explain everything, but it can spark curiosity, and that is exactly where its charm lies.
Imagination, science, and philosophy are intertwined in a way that helps foster discussion between young and old.

As a parent who often reads books to their children, I felt disappointed with "Minoli and the Universe." The intention is beautiful: to bring children closer to big questions. But the approach is unsuitable. The vocabulary is complex, the concepts overly abstract, and the child—instead of traveling—remains behind, lost.
My little one didn’t understand what we were reading and quickly got bored. I also felt that the book asks a child to understand something that even an adult would need time to grasp. I do not recommend it for young ages. It’s not a bad book—it’s just not for children.

Although the book has relatively good illustrations and imagination, its subject—the Universe and existence—is excessively complex for young children. The concepts presented are difficult to understand and abstract, resulting in the child becoming confused rather than enchanted. The narration does not properly adapt to the targeted age group. Instead of inspiring, it ultimately tires. I do not consider it suitable for young children and would not recommend it. Its subject is simply too heavy for the tender mind of a child

  • Very interesting comic, ideal for a first introduction of children to cosmology!
