Innovative Duo Control Cuff (DCC) Technology
Thanks to the innovative Duo Control technology, the Sanity Children electronic blood pressure monitor offers the ability to take accurate measurements through a method that is extremely gentle for children, ensuring that it does not cause discomfort. The cuff consists of 2 parts: the upper part, which is larger, and the lower part, which is smaller, with each inflating separately through different air tubes. The upper part of the cuff has a regular functioning mode that compresses the arm, while the lower part acts like a stethoscope to detect the heart rate. Using the sensors inside the cuff, the device measures blood pressure between heartbeats.
Instructions for measuring blood pressure:
- To obtain accurate results, it is essential to pay attention to the correct body position of the child. It is recommended to sit as upright as possible, preferably in a chair with feet on the floor and the arm placed on the table. It is important to remain calm during the measurement and not to move or speak.
- Attach the cuff (as shown in the image below) to the child's left or right arm, according to the doctor's instructions. The bottom of the cuff should be placed about 1 cm above the elbow, and the cuff should be at the same level as the heart.
- Press the START/STOP button to begin inflating the cuff. Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will automatically deflate. The blood pressure and heart rate values will be displayed on the screen and automatically saved in the device's memory.
