The edge is slightly beveled for ease of cutting. It is often used without a mallet. Double chamfer, so the chisel can be used with the bevel facing either right or left. It is useful for carving letters and decorative shapes.

It is available in a blade length between 110-135mm with a total tool length of 245-270 millimeters.
