The type of computer for which the memory is intended.
Size
DIMM GB

Size

The physical size of the RAM. The motherboard must support the corresponding size.

DIMM: This is the classic large memory module mainly used in desktop computers.

SODIMM: This is a smaller version of DIMM, designed for laptops and devices with limited space.

LCAMM2: A new RAM technology, with a much slimmer size and double the data bus width, allowing for higher speeds and greater performance in thinner laptops.

UDIMM

It is the "classic" type of RAM used by most home computers and gaming PCs for decades.
CUDIMM
No

CUDIMM

Clocked Unbuffered DIMM. This is the new DDR5 standard designed to break the barrier of very high speeds. It features an additional chip on the RAM stick called the Client Clock Driver (CKD). Requires support from CPU/Motherboard (e.g. Intel Arrow Lake and later)
