Functions of the algae reactor:

  • Algae cultivation in saltwater and plant cultivation in freshwater
  • Biological detoxification of ecosystems through algae or plants
  • Reduction of nitrate and phosphate content
  • Aquarium water filtration
  • Production of additional food for fish
  • Zooplankton refugium, serving as food for corals and fish
  • Enrichment of water with oxygen
