A Greek-American businessman comes to Greece to open a nightclub, and a group of young musicians at a bouzouki club in Plaka take it upon themselves to introduce him to the ins and outs, customs, and traditions of Athens' nightlife.
Of all these, the Greek-American is most impressed when he witnesses a big fight over the honor of a sister. However, the toughest of the bouzouki musicians falls in love with a young, trendy rich girl who plays modern songs at a nearby club.
And that's where the complications begin. Folk musicians versus modern ones and romantic entanglements with a happy ending, when the bouzouki player, after intervention from the girl's aristocratic family, gives a concert in a formal hall.
