Niki, a civil servant at the General Staff of the Army, on the eve of 1940, delivers military documents to the Italians, who are blackmailing her with the life of her brother. When her actions are revealed, she risks being sentenced to death, but a general proposes that she continues to provide fake documents to the Italians. However, a young captain who is in love with her gets caught up in this story. When this so-called theft is uncovered, the captain is tried and taken to the execution site, which is staged to convince the Italians of the accuracy of their information, and soon the war breaks out.
