Two friends, Petrakis and Pavlaras, itinerant organ grinders, see their work disappearing due to the changing times and the rapid development of the gramophone. A friend urges them to go to a village festival to earn some money.

On the way, they meet a girl who has run away from home to avoid marrying the man her wealthy father has chosen for her. Instead of handing her over to the police and collecting the reward, they take her under their protection and try to find her beloved.

In the end, they reunite the couple and reconcile them with her father, receiving the reward as well.
