This is a type of water fern that should be tied to a piece of wood or stone with fishing line until it attaches itself. If we plant it in the substrate, we must be careful not to cover its stem (the horizontal rhizome), otherwise it will rot.
It is easy to propagate by simply cutting its horizontal rhizome. It is a very hardy plant that thrives in all conditions. The black spots under its leaves are sporangia (reproductive organs) and not signs of disease as many mistakenly believe.
