Description

Releasing 10 is an epic and unforgettable love story in the international bestselling and TikTok-phenomenon The Boys of Tommen series, from Chloe Walsh. The power and pain of first love has never been more deeply felt than in Chloe Walsh's extraordinary stories about the irresistible Boys of Tommen, which will give you the ultimate book hangover.

A love that couldn’t be broken, except by the truth. Lizzie Young has always felt she was too much everything. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder at a young age, she’s never fit in with her family, her friends, or her community. Lizzie wants to be accepted and understood, but with few people in her corner, she’s carried her burdens and her trauma on her own. But when she meets a kind boy on the school bus, things start to look bright for the first time in her life . . .

Hugh Biggs has an old soul and the wisdom of someone far beyond his years. A young man with a sharp mind and a firm code of ethics, he sees something in Lizzie Young that he can’t resist. He wants to be her everything and shoulder her burden. And Lizzie wants that too. Lizzie and Hugh’s bond seems unbreakable - their chemistry is electric, their love is potent, and their connection is soul deep - but even the truest love can be shaken by forces beyond control.

Warning: Releasing 10 tackles several sensitive topics, including childhood abuse, sexual trauma, self-harm, and suicide. It includes explicit sexual content and graphic violence. Reader discretion is advised.

    “No matter what” ?

Lizzie’s life feels like a constant rollercoaster of emotions, where the developments in her life and her psychology can go from 1 to 10 in a split second.
By her side through everything, even from a young age, is Hughie. A true friend and a rock in her experiences, he stands by her like no one else.
But how much can you stand by someone when you only know half the truth?

Obviously, this is one of those books where neither all the time in the world nor all the space in a caption is enough for me to say how I feel, but I’ll try….

I thought none of the next books in the series would be more devastating than Joey’s, but I was spectacularly wrong, because this book is by far the most soul-crushing book in the series so far. If you thought your heart hurt a lot in Joey or you cried enough for a lifetime, then get ready because Releasing 10 will turn everything upside down.

This story is very tough and definitely requires a strong stomach. I can’t describe how much anger you’ll feel and how much suspense, and all that just to close the book and stare into space for hours.
Undoubtedly the darkest and most "violent" book in the series, with emotions running red hot.

Lizzie is a very special character who is used to being hated by many, but in her story she clearly wins the game, as from her point of view the truth is very different.
Hughie, on the other hand, is a character who wins you over from the very beginning. The patience, persistence, stability, and love he has for his childhood friend will make your heart beat fast every time.

Among all this, I want to focus on the way Chloe Walsh writes, on the harsh truth she gives so generously, raw and without any restraint. She loves each of her "children" and presents the hard truth of tender age, giving each of her stories incredible realism, which may be criticized by many, but this is the truth that many of us were lucky not to experience.

If you’re starting this series now, keep an eye on Lizzie and Hughie’s scenes, because the way this couple stands out from the very first books is very important and will definitely be useful when you get to their book.

Finally, I’ll keep the nostalgia that this series brings to the 2000s generation! The music choices and references to the habits of this golden era can only give you butterflies in your stomach.

    ‼️WARNING‼️
I do not recommend this series for younger ages, and the reason is not the spice that some of the books may have, but the harshness and rawness that are the main ingredients of every book.
