This system consists of a parka and pants, plus 20 other individual garments, headgear, and footwear, used in various combinations to meet the environmental requirements of cold weather. The second-level garments provide lightweight insulation in mild cold and an extra layer of protection in freezing conditions. The fleece grid pattern on the inside is designed to maximize fabric breathability and improve moisture-wicking properties.
