Among its large, round leaves with brown spots and stripes, this plant is recommended for larger aquariums. It is distinguished from the "Red Lotus" and "Green Tiger Lotus" varieties depending on the coloration of the leaves. It does not have particular requirements, but it needs a free, well-lit spot to grow properly.

It tends to develop leaves with long stems that float on the water surface and block the light. To avoid this, the long leaves should be removed as soon as possible. If the plant develops floating leaves, its beautiful white flowers will appear, which remain open from evening until late morning.
