The FX3A’s 12.1 MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor (10.2 MP effective in video mode) combines with a BIONZ XR processor to achieve UHD 4K video recording with internal 10-bit 4:2:2 sampling or 16-bit raw output. The sensor’s BSI design enhances clarity and sensitivity, with an expandable ISO range of 80-409,600 and a dynamic range of over 15 stops for working in mixed lighting conditions.

The 12.1 MP Exmor R sensor and BIONZ XR processor deliver true cinematic expression with 10.2 MP video and 12.1 MP photo capture on the FX3A. The base sensitivity of 80-102,400 extends to a high 409,600 for impressive low-light shooting, while the 15+ stop dynamic range reproduces tones in both stunning outdoor scenes and carefully lit indoor environments.

Beautiful skin tone reproduction and a softer look that complements VENICE, FX9, or FX6 videos are created using the FX3A’s default S-Cinetone color setting. Support for S-Log3, S-Gamut3, S-Gamut3.Cine, and 10-bit 4:2:2 helps maintain rich gradation and color matching with the Sony Cinema Line camera series.
