Ideal for the proper growth of all Aroids, they provide support, encourage the development of aerial roots, and promote healthy foliage and the formation of large leaves.
They are usually filled with sphagnum, which encourages the growth of aerial roots. Their height can be extended by stacking one moss pole on top of another.
Watering should be done from the top with a gentle flow of water, ensuring that the sphagnum is well moistened. This can be done with a water bottle by poking small holes in the cap and turning it upside down on top of the moss pole.
Liquid fertilizer may be added to the water, even with every watering. Watering should be repeated often enough to prevent the sphagnum from drying out, depending on environmental conditions.
Instructions for use:
- Remove the protective gelatin from both sides.
- Assemble the moss pole according to the diagram.
- Fill it with sphagnum and it is ready for use.
- Place it at the base of the pot, insert the plant, and add soil.
The plant's shoots will begin to grow up the moss pole. Tying them can be facilitated with the use of special tape.
