The 100x objective lens allows the use of immersion oil, while the mechanical stage moves along two axes for positioning samples. Focusing is performed using coaxial coarse and fine adjustment knobs. The 0.75 W LED illuminator is located beneath the stage and has adjustable brightness; its beam passes through an Abbe condenser, while its brightness is adjusted with an iris diaphragm.
