The smart lock U200 includes an external and an internal unit (along with their accessories). The two units communicate wirelessly with each other. The internal unit, which rotates the lock, should be installed from the protected side, while the keypad is placed on the exterior of the door.

The U200 features a retrofitting design that allows for easy installation on existing doors without significant modifications. It is compatible with most European and North American doors, including various types of European cylinders. The U200 offers a modern keyless lifestyle while maintaining the option to use traditional keys.

Users enjoy easy access, remote access control, and real-time lock status updates. The Aqara U200 utilizes modern technical solutions, providing multiple secure access options. The door can be opened using fingerprints (up to 50 patterns), one-time PIN codes or recurring ones, remote or local access via apps, voice commands, or Aqara NFC cards.

The keypad can be powered by 4 AAA batteries or by static power supply of 12-24V AC or DC. The internal unit operates on a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, which can be recharged via USB Type-C connection. Thanks to the energy-efficient Thread protocol, the U200 lock can offer up to 6 months of battery life between charges. Additionally, the wireless keypad has an IPX5 rating and can withstand extreme temperatures (-18℃ to 66℃).

The U200 works seamlessly with other smart home accessories, allowing users to create a fully automated smart home experience. For example, through the alarm functions of the Aqara app, interactions can be created when a family member unlocks the U200 or activates the internal camera.

The U200 can connect to the Aqara Home app via Bluetooth or the Aqara Hub M3. Updates for compatibility with third-party platforms supporting Matter are expected.
