The Levenhuk Ra FT72 ED telescope is an apochromatic refractor designed for astrophotography. This telescope can be used both as an optical tube and as a camera lens. It can be used for space observation, however its main use is photography. Thanks to the extra-low dispersion optics and the eyepiece that efficiently gathers light, this telescope provides a high-contrast image with minimal chromatic distortion. The set also includes an aluminum case that makes it easy to transport and store the telescope.

The main feature of the Levenhuk Ra FT72 ED is the 2” helicoid focuser. It is durable and allows for very precise focusing and smooth movement without play. It provides clearer and sharper images compared to rack-and-pinion focusers or even advanced Crayford systems. It is also compatible with heavy accessories. The optical tube features a standard 1/4” thread, making it compatible with most modern mounts and tripods. To attach a DSLR camera, a special adapter is required, which is not included in the set.
