The Meade Polaris 90 mm EQ telescope is ideal for observing the Moon and the planets of the Solar System. The high-aperture lens (90 mm) allows observation of the phases of Mercury and Venus, the moons of Saturn, Jupiter’s Great Red Spot, and many other interesting objects. The set includes three optical eyepieces and a Barlow lens for a wide range of magnifications. Observations should always begin with a long focal length eyepiece. A red finder allows for quick identification of desired celestial objects. A DVD with planetarium software is also included.
The reliable German equatorial mount allows tracking of the daily movement of objects in the sky. The slow-motion controls facilitate smooth movement of the tube. There is also an option for installing motor drives. The steel tripod provides a stable position for the instrument during observations.
The AutoStar Suite Astronomer Edition software will help you study the night sky. It displays more than 10,000 celestial objects, including planets, stars, galaxies, and nebulae. You can print star charts and plan your observations. It works on any Windows computer.
