I mean, would it have been so hard to put the quietest possible fan,⁉️ it only has one... by pressing it in certain spots the noise is reduced but for a device so close to our ears a silent fan is needed!?

For the reason I wanted the stand, namely to cool my laptop, it gets 5 stars.
The fan does a much better job compared to anything I've had in the past.
It starts with the LEDs on at 300 rpm as soon as it is plugged in.
To turn off the lights, you need to press and hold the corresponding touch button.
Don't forget, as I did, to remove the transparent film that is on top of the touch buttons.
Before I removed it, the device would turn on and off by itself.
The grips that hold the laptop at the bottom are metal instead of just simple rubber anti-slip pads.
Ideally, these would also have some rubber coating so there would be no fear of scratching the laptop.
I tried 2-3 USB power adapters to power this stand.
With an old adapter, the more I increased the speed, the more the lighting intensity decreased until the device turned off (before reaching the maximum of 2200 rpm).
With newer adapters or by connecting the stand directly to the laptop (USB 3.1), I had no problem.
At the back, it has 2 USB-A ports, 1 is used to draw power and the 2nd is split directly as many stands do that don't have a dedicated USB hub.
The power cable is USB-A to USB-A, which is non-standard for USB and care should be taken not to use it for any other purpose.
The NOD Sub-zero fits my 15.4-inch gaming laptop much better compared to other stands that support 15 inches.
The magnetic pads on the sides really help with cooling and the spare air intake filters are a nice touch.
Για τον λόγο που ήθελα τη βάση, δηλαδή να ψύχει το laptop μου, παίρνει 5 αστέρια.
Ο ανεμιστήρας κάνει πολύ καλύτερη δουλειά σε σχέση με οτιδήποτε είχα στο παρελθόν.
Εκκινεί με τα LED αναμμένα στις 300 στροφές μόλις μπει στο ρεύμα.
Για να σβήσουν τα φώτα, πρέπει να κρατηθεί παρατεταμένα το αντίστοιχο κουμπί αφής.
Μην ξεχάσετε, όπως ξέχασα εγώ, να βγάλετε τη διάφανη ζελατίνα που βρίσκεται πάνω από τα κουμπιά αφής.
Πριν την βγάλω, άναβε και έσβηνε από μόνη της η συσκευή.
Τα grips που κρατάνε το λάπτοπ στο κάτω μέρος είναι μεταλλικά αντί για απλά λαστιχένια αντιολισθητικά.
Ιδανικά θα είχαν και αυτά κάποιο λαστιχένιο περίβλημα ώστε να μην υπάρχει φόβος ότι θα γρατζουνιστεί το laptop.
Δοκίμασα 2-3 USB τροφοδοτικά για να τροφοδοτήσω τη συγκεκριμένη βάση.
Με ένα παλιό τροφοδοτικό όσο ανέβαζα τις στροφές τόσο μειωνόταν η ένταση του φωτισμού μέχρι που έσβηνε η συσκευή (πριν φρτάσει στο μέγιστο των 2200 rpm).
Με τα νεότερα τροφοδοτικά είτε και συνδέοντας τη βάση απευθείας στο laptop (USB 3.1) δεν είχα κάποιο πρόβλημα.
Στο πίσω μέρος έχει 2 θύρες USB-A, την 1 την χρησιμοποιεί για παίρνει ρεύμα και την 2η την διακλαδώνει απευθείας όπως κάνουν πολλές βάσεις που δεν έχουν dedicated usb hub.
Το καλώδιο τροφοδοσίας είναι USB-A σε USB-A, πράγμα που είναι εκτός προτύπων USB και θέλει προσοχή να μην χρησιμοποιηθεί για οποιονδήποτε άλλο λόγο.

Tα μαγνητικά μαξιλαράκια στα πλάγια όντως βοηθούν στην ψύξη και τα ανταλλακτικά φίλτρα εισροής αέρα είναι καλή πινελιά.
