1. Place the threaded insert into the hole of the plastic part.
2. Heat the insert with a soldering iron without applying excessive pressure.
3. As it heats up, the insert melts and penetrates the plastic.
4. Allow the plastic to cool so that the insert stabilizes.

After cooling, the plastic gains increased strength and can withstand repeated screwings.
