The faith of the Church is a revelation of God to the saints and not a reflection of human thought; it is a disclosed faith to the divine witnesses and subsequently handed down revelation to those who strive to become saints.

The Prophets, Apostles, Fathers, and saints throughout the ages are called theosis, because they participate in the uncreated energy of God through purification, illumination, and theosis.

Those who possess this faith are called "receivers" because they receive this "divine gift," "guardians" because they protect it as the apple of their eye, and "transmitters" because they pass it on to those who desire and thirst for salvation.

This theology of the saints is recorded in this book, according to the "Synodikon of Orthodoxy," that we proceed "according to the divine-inspired theology of the saints and the pious spirit of the Church."
