TQS4 Intelligent Temperature Sensor

Thermometer with a measurement range of -40 °C to +125 °C.

Outdoor construction with IP65 protection.

Power supply voltage up to 36 V.

Communication via RS485 bus using ModBus RTU or Spinel protocol.

The TQS4 is an intelligent digital thermometer for measuring outdoor temperature that communicates via the standard industrial RS485 bus (two wires).

It can measure temperatures ranging from -40 to +125 °C with a resolution of 0.1 °C.

The measured value is sent directly in °C, so there is no need for conversion.

The thermometer does not require calibration and is ready to measure immediately upon connection.

In terms of communication, the thermometer operates on RS485 using the ModBus RTU or Spinel protocol.

It can be on the same bus with other RS485 devices.

An RS485 bus can have up to 32 units (possibly more).

As both protocols are described in the documentation with examples, Spinel also has a simple ASCII format suitable for educational purposes.
