SUNLU Silk Filament is a filament designed with additives that offer a subtle sheen without appearing overly glossy. Many PLAs contain various parameters to achieve ideal printing characteristics or aesthetics. In silk PLA+, the additives create the characteristic shiny look of silk. In the majority of silk PLA+, a small amount of thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) is used to achieve the desired effect.

Since silk PLA+ is a polymer mixed with special additives, the optimum settings depend on the specific material, brand, and color. Detailed adjustment is required to achieve the best results with each silk PLA+ formula. For printing silk PLA+, the printing temperature is slightly higher than that of regular PLA.
