Tetralux water-based paint for beehives is an elastomeric, energy-saving, thermoceramic paint suitable for painting old and new beehives. Its high reflectivity and low thermal conductivity help protect the hive from severe cold and high temperatures, while the paint seals out moisture. It is safe for the colony, the user and the environment, and leaves a matte finish.
Stir well before use and apply to clean, dry surfaces free of foreign matter or substances. On unpainted hives, apply as a primer diluted with approximately 50% water. Use undiluted on joints in one or two coats, and apply at least two coats of paint. On previously painted hives, also apply a primer diluted with approximately 50% water, followed by two coats of paint. For application with a brush, roller or broom, dilute with up to 5% water; for spray-gun application, dilute with up to 10%. It dries in one hour and can be recoated after 5–6 hours, depending on weather conditions.
