Local Dimming
No

Local Dimming

LED TVs use LED backlighting behind the screen. LED TVs with Local Dimming capability can illuminate different areas of the screen with different intensities, achieving better local black performance and contrast compared to regular LEDs.

OLED TVs do not require this technology as the lighting is integrated into each individual pixel and can be completely turned off, providing absolute black and even better contrast.

Channels
Stereo

Channels

Channels refer to the number and type of individual speakers contained in the television and are described by 2 numbers separated by a dot. The first number refers to how many full-range speakers (speakers for the entire frequency range) the television contains, while the second refers to how many subwoofer-type speakers (speakers specialized for bass frequencies). For example, a television with 2.1 speakers has 2 regular speakers and 1 subwoofer.

2. Almost all television programs are stereo (for playback from at least 2 speakers), meaning they are designed to sound different in each of the 2 speakers to give the listener a sense of space. More speakers make this feeling even more realistic, and the presence of a subwoofer gives fuller bass.

Very good TV, though not perfect. It has very smooth motion, but regarding lighting, if you look at it from a side angle, you can very slightly see a square shadow around the perimeter of the image, and the center is brighter, perhaps due to the way the LEDs are positioned or maybe the light diffusion plastics inside the panel. It is so subtle that you really have to strain to notice it. But it is there. Some people complain about the remote control because of the different way of adjusting the volume and changing channels, but it's a matter of habit. Instead of pressing the top button with the plus and the bottom with the minus, here you just push the same button up or down. I also have the 32-inch LG 63006, the previous model from the 60006 that's out now, which is better than this Philips, but its remote is much more confusing.
In the end, you get a universal learning remote, set the buttons as you like, and you're done. The important thing is that the TV is good.
Finally, with some adjustments, the 'frame'-shaped shadow around the middle of the image, due to the way the LEDs are placed (both around the perimeter and in the middle, i.e., both direct LED and edge LED), is reduced so much that it is now very hard to distinguish and not annoying. The settings are:
    Gamma -1 or even -2,
    color temperature "NORMAL",
    video level at 70,
in the CONTRAST setting, set dynamic enhancement to minimum,
reduce artifacts and image noise to minimum,
and set backlight contrast around 60 depending on the brightness of your TV model and how you want it. Also, with the preset modes in the menu, it looks good. I like the ECO option.
