The natural concentration of iodide in natural seawater (NSW) is 0.06 mg/L, and it is recommended to maintain iodide close to this concentration. Although concentrations above NSW may be beneficial, maintaining these elevated concentrations should be considered experimental.

The innovative MultiTest Iodine/Iodide kit allows measurement of iodine or iodide at less than 0.005 mg/L, with the color scale peaking at 0.10 mg/L. It performs over 75 tests and includes a reference sample for validation.
