Support of urinary system health in dogs and cats with urinary tract infection (UTI) caused by Escherichia coli and other bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Proteus, and Klebsiella spp.
Composition: D-Mannose powder. D-Mannose is a natural simple sugar, a safe and practical alternative for the treatment of UTIs caused by E. coli and other related bacteria. It is absorbed eight times slower than glucose and is not converted to glycogen or stored in the liver but goes directly into the bloodstream. It is mainly filtered by the kidneys and directed to the bladder.
The bladder wall consists of polysaccharide molecules. The finger-like projections on the surface of E. coli bacteria attach to these molecules, causing infection. In the presence of D-Mannose, E. coli preferentially binds to the D-Mannose molecules, forming a complex that is expelled with the next urination.
Additives: Anti-caking agent up to 1%.
Dosage:
- Acute infection: 1 sachet for 5 days
- Maintenance: 1/2 sachet for 20 days
Ensure that pets always have clean water. The predetermined doses of VETAMANOZA powder should be mixed and administered with water. Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children. For animal use only.
