The iron fertilizer provides all aquarium plants with readily available ferrous iron II, ensuring a beautiful, fresh green color. Iron is essential for all aquarium plants and is needed for the formation of vital green leaves. Without green leaves, the plant cannot perform photosynthesis. A lack of iron is immediately evident, with young leaves appearing pale and yellowish (iron chlorosis).

Important to know: Plants can only absorb the so-called ferrous iron. Unfortunately, this is not stable in the aquarium but quickly oxidizes, converting into ineffective ferric, "brown" iron. Tap water virtually contains no iron, thus aquarium plants rely on regular iron fertilization. E15 does not contain phosphates and nitrates and therefore does not promote algae growth.

Application: Simply add the tablets to the aquarium water, ideally after replacing some of the water. They will dissolve slowly over a few days.

Dosage: 1 tablet per 100 L (26.4 US gal) adds 0.27 mg/l (ppm) of iron to the aquarium water. Regular use results in iron content within the optimal range of 0.05 – 0.2 mg/l (ppm).
