Overall, it is a decent product but that's about it.

My hair is fine and naturally oily, so pomades don't give the best results. When I tried it on slightly damp hair, the result was bad. It looked like I hadn't washed my hair for days.

On dry hair, it's somewhat better, but still gives the same result (though to a lesser extent). It's definitely not matte, but something in between (imagine having applied pomade with shine, but the shine has dried. I can't describe it any other way). If you want a matte finish, just use a small amount, rub your hands together to activate it, and then apply. And with the blow dryer I tried, it gives a matte finish (while without it, it has a slight shine).

The hold is good, I have to say. Compared to the paste and clay I've tried, it's completely different because it's much better. It spreads easily on the hair without needing to spend hours in front of the mirror combing. Now, whether you can restyle it, yes, definitely even with your hands, but I don't recommend it. However, it's definitely not something that you apply and your hair stays in place no matter what happens. These are my observations, if I'm not mistaken, only on oil-based pomades.

The rinsing is what personally bothers me. Yes, it comes off from the hands with a little water, but from the hair, you need to wash it. Personally, I can't wash my hair every time I want to rinse it off or reapply it. However, it comes off very easily with shampoo, unlike oil-based pomades, where you need half a bottle of shampoo.

It's definitely worth it as a product, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for "extreme hold" because they will be disappointed. But if you're looking for a water-based pomade that spreads easily without struggling with a comb, has good hold, and has a matte finish (to some extent), then here you go.

Reading the comments, I decided to try it myself. I should mention that my hair is not straight but curly, so it is a bit difficult for me to keep it in place.
But let's move on to the application: Very easy on slightly damp hair (meaning you have towel-dried them and let them dry on their own for a while before applying the product) and immediately you can create the hairstyle you desire. I found this very positive because with regular pomades, you just comb as if there's no tomorrow hoping to achieve something (I mean, for my hair type).

Now let's talk about the hold: I wouldn't call it strong, just average. It definitely provides a good hold without making your hair stiff, but if it's windy, it doesn't have a good result. It doesn't ruin it completely, but you can tell it's not meant for a lot of movement afterwards. I wouldn't describe the result as matte. It's more like having applied a pomade with minimal shine. You don't look like you've been licked by a cow, but something in between matte and minimal gloss.

To conclude, I would say that pomades, based on my experience, are for people with thick and abundant hair. If you have fine hair like mine, I have to say that the result is not so satisfying. However, it is definitely much better than classic pomades (even those with a water-based formula) - at least in my opinion

:) Thick hair with medium to thick strong strands, semi-curly and around 5 to 10 inches in length. I always wash before going to bed, so I don't know the duration of the products after sleep and beyond one day. :)
*Very pleasant scent that lasts. In forums, they say it's something like sugary rum, I can't pinpoint it but I like it.
*It is water-based but it sticks (not something tragic) which is strange for a water-based pomade. However, it comes off easily with shampoo (I wouldn't recommend just water). Heavy product for straight, thin, and fine hair.
*The strongest hold I have tried in a water-based pomade. It is slightly stronger than Layrite Superhold Pomade. It doesn't harden the hair at all! (Attention, it needs to be applied very well on the hair to go everywhere, especially on the ends!)
*I don't think it is suitable for a helmet as it sticks to the texture. I don't know if it sticks to the helmet because I didn't try it. With a little styling, the hair can be reshaped (I don't think it can withstand more than 3 times) but be careful not to wet the comb or hands because it loses its pliability and weakens the hold.
$$Its price classifies it as average with a cheap category for water-based pomade.
!Recommended for medium to difficult hold hairstyles. Nice scent, unfortunately it sticks a little, doesn't harden the hair but has a somewhat unnatural texture. I think it sticks to flakes or leaves small traces. Very good product for difficult curly hair and extreme hairstyles. Nice matte appearance and if it didn't have this minimal stickiness in texture (and the flakes), I would give it 5*. Its price is super, so give it a try!
