It definitely protects the phone so that it doesn't get any scratches. Of course, it increases the size of the device, but not to a prohibitive degree. I didn't try wireless charging because I'm not interested. Perhaps the only drawback, but not so serious, is that after about 8 months the case starts to develop a tint due to sun exposure, and if you want it to always be clean and transparent, you need to buy a new one.
