Description

The title of the book "to tell my Story" comes from the poem by the Palestinian poet Refaat Alareer, who was killed in the Israeli bombing in Gaza on December 7, 2023. The poem was posted on X on November 1, 2023.

In the current context, it is important to tell the stories of people living under occupation and annihilation. This book seeks to highlight the ongoing war of Israel in the region of Palestine, providing a comprehensive picture of what was happening until October 7, 2023, and what will continue to happen if the Palestinian issue is not resolved.

The First Part describes the daily life under occupation in previous years. It examines what it means to live among settlements, behind an ever-expanding Wall, with control over water, food, and movement, as well as administrative detention and prohibition of return to your home.

In the Second Part, the timeless arguments of Israeli leaderships are presented, and an effort is made to show how they are used to prevent peace in the region and impose occupation in an increasingly oppressive, colonial manner.

A separate chapter follows, briefly describing what has happened in the year following October 7, 2023, serving as a reminder of the nature of the occupation and the importance of concepts such as "international law" and "war crimes".

The research and the data presented are mainly based on Western and Israeli sources, in order to avoid a "biased" perspective.

The book aims to restore the flow of events that led to October 7 and the significance of this date, highlighting the resistance of the peoples of the region against the occupying, expansionist, genocidal ambitions of a state considered the advanced outpost of the West.
