Description

BIO Toasts with Spelt, flour 270gr

Made with 100% spelt flour.

Spelt, also known as dinkel wheat or hulled wheat, is a type of wheat cultivated since around 5000 BC. It was an important staple food in parts of Europe from the Bronze Age to medieval times. Today, it survives as a relic crop in Central Europe and northern Spain and has found a new market as a healthy food.

Spelt is sometimes considered a subspecies of the closely related common wheat species (Triticum aestivum), in which case its botanical name is considered Triticum aestivum subsp. spelta. Like soft wheat, it is a hexaploid wheat, which means it has six sets of chromosomes.

They arrived broken! The packaging was terrible and the taste was very bad (smell and taste of staleness). Production date: 2023 and expiration 6/2026. So in 3 months, in non-airtight packaging for 3 years! The packaging had a sticker in the middle and was exposed to air at the edges!
