One year after the defeat against the order in the Fifty Years' War, the king fell ill, leaving a two-year-old boy to ascend the throne. Anyone called "Regent" would have to truly govern, and thus two rival candidates appeared: Duke Goltana and Larg, whose deeds during the war earned great fame.

Goltana, the black lion, and Larg, the white lion, were doomed to face each other, and the resulting conflict would be known as the War of the Lions.
