Organic Handmade Spicy Vegetable Trahana made from whole grain flour, 400gr.

The sour trahana of Thrace is made with fresh vegetables from the gardens of the rural houses. It is stored in cellars and retains its vitamins and beneficial ingredients. It constitutes a healthy food, suitable for various dietary purposes.

It is prepared with:

• Orange ripe pumpkins
• Carrots
• Bright red Florina peppers
• Ripe red tomatoes
• Onions

The vegetables are washed, chopped, and simmered in stainless steel pots. They are then pureed and mixed with flour from traditional hard wheat. The dough is kneaded slowly without added water, using only the liquids from the boiling of the vegetables.

The drying process follows, which is traditionally done with natural ventilation, away from sunlight. Trahana is a part of the cultural heritage, well-known to the locals.

It is suitable for soups and pies, offering a gastronomic element that connects tradition with modern cooking.
