I have had the Raspberry Pi2 for about 3-4 months! I use it as a media player with KODI on the TV.. It plays any video, image, and audio file format I have tried (video up to 1080p 60Hz)
Of course, it wasn't made just for this reason. You can do/create a bunch of projects like: robots, remote-controlled devices, game consoles, home alarms, radios, etc. It requires reading and passion, but it has amazing capabilities!
It is interesting to note that you can load the Raspbian operating system onto it (a variation of Debian). It is a LINUX operating system that will transform it into a real PC.
