The sand decoration forms different abstract landscapes each time it is turned over, as the colored sand slowly falls and creates hills, mountains, and pyramids. The movement of the sand is reminiscent of an hourglass and offers a relaxing visual display. To maintain it, it needs to be turned over at least once a month.
