Unbelievable value for money!
I got it for €175 on offer (silver, 8/256GB) and honestly, I didn't expect such performance at this price. The phone is fast, doesn't lag anywhere, and doesn't heat up. The screen has very beautiful, vibrant colors and looks great even in sunlight. The battery with normal use (no gaming) easily lasts a whole day even though I use the option to stop charging at 80% to make the battery last longer.
On the downside, it has quite a few pre-installed apps (mainly games) and after I uninstalled them, the first update a few days later reinstalled them. Eventually, with the help of ChatGPT, I found the settings to delete them permanently.
The back, although it looks nice, is plastic, understandable at this price.
There is no charger in the package, so if you want fast charging you need to buy a Realme charger with SuperVooc support, around €25. It also recognizes a 25W charger with PD charging but only charges at 18W. That doesn't bother me since I charge it overnight.
The camera is average, but acceptable for the price category.
In the box, there is a plastic, transparent case and a USB A-C cable, while the screen has a pre-installed protective film.
For comparison, I also have a Pixel 7 Pro (bought for €600 two years ago) and I can say that:
- In speed, they are almost the same.
- The Realme screen is brighter, while the Pixel's is better in resolution and protection (Corning Glass Victus).
- The Realme battery lasts longer.
- The Pixel has 12GB RAM versus 8GB, but the Realme offers 256GB storage instead of 128GB.
- For the camera, there is no comparison, the Pixel 7 Pro remains top.
Realme has made a phone by investing in essential components that make a difference in real use: processor, battery, screen, and memory. If you can accept the average camera quality, the Realme 14 is an excellent choice. I don't think there's anything better on the market right now.
Απίστευτο value for money!
Το πήρα στα 175€ σε προσφορά (ασημί, 8/256GB) και πραγματικά δεν περίμενα τέτοια απόδοση σε αυτά τα χρήματα. Το κινητό είναι γρήγορο, δεν κολλάει πουθενά και δεν ανεβάζει θερμοκρασία. Η οθόνη έχει πολύ όμορφα, ζωντανά χρώματα και φαίνεται μια χαρά ακόμα και στον ήλιο. Η μπαταρία με κανονική χρήση (χωρίς παιχνίδια) βγάζει άνετα ολόκληρη μέρα αν και χρησιμοποιώ την επιλογή να σταματάει η φόρτιση στο 80% για να διαρκέσει περισσότερο η μπαταρία
Στα αρνητικά, έχει αρκετές εφαρμογές προεγκατεστημένες (κυρίως παιχνίδια) και αφού τις έκανα uninstall, στο πρώτο update μετά από λίγες μέρες τις επανεγκατέστησε. Τελικά με τη βοήθεια του ChatGPT βρήκα τις ρυθμίσεις ώστε να σβυστούν μόνιμα.
Η πλάτη αν και φαίνεται όμορφη είναι πλαστική, κατανοητό σε αυτή την τιμή.
Δεν έχει φορτιστή στη συσκευασία, οπότε αν θέλετε γρήγορη φόρτιση χρειάζεται να αγοράσετε φορτιστή της Realme με υποστήριξη SuperVooc, γύρω στα 25€. Αναγνωρίζει και φορτιστή 25W με PD charging αλλά φορτίζει στα 18W μόνο. Εμένα δεν με ενοχλεί αφού το φορτίζω τη νύχτα.
Η κάμερα είναι μέτρια, αλλά αποδεκτή για την κατηγορία τιμής.
Στη συσκευσία έχει πλαστική, διάφανη θήκη και καλώδιο USB A-C ενώ η οθόνη έχει προεγκατεστημένη ζελατίνα προστασίας.
Για να έχετε μέτρο σύγκρισης, έχω και Pixel 7 Pro (αγορασμένο στα 600€ πριν 2 χρόνια) και μπορώ να πω ότι:
- Σε ταχύτητα είναι σχεδόν ίδια.
- Η οθόνη του Realme είναι πιο φωτεινή, ενώ του Pixel καλύτερη σε ανάλυση και προστασία (Corning Glass Victus).
- Η μπαταρία του Realme κρατάει περισσότερο.
- Το Pixel έχει 12GB RAM έναντι 8GB, αλλά το Realme προσφέρει 256GB αποθήκευσης αντί για 128GB.
- Στην κάμερα δεν υπάρχει σύγκριση, το Pixel 7 Pro παραμένει κορυφαίο.
Η Realme έφτιαξε ένα τηλέφωνο επενδύοντας σε ουσιαστικά components που κάνουν τη διαφορά στην πραγματική χρήση: επεξεργαστή, μπαταρία , οθόνη και μνήμη. Αν σας είναι αποδεκτή η μέτρια ποιότητα της κάμερας, το Realme 14 είναι εξαιρετική επιλογή. Δε νομίζω ότι υπάρχει κάτι καλύτερο στην αγορά αυτή τη στιγμή.
