The cane is useful for people with minor balance problems or unsteady walking, weakness in the limbs, or due to injuries. Information regarding its proper use:

• Positioning: The top of the cane should reach your wrist when standing upright, with the elbow slightly bent.
• Walking: The cane and the injured leg should touch the ground simultaneously. Place the cane forward and follow with the injured leg.
• Stairs: To go up, support yourself on the good leg and hold the cane in the hand opposite the injured leg. To go down, first the cane, then the injured leg, and finally the good leg.
• Space arrangement: Remove rugs and electrical cords, avoid wet floors and other objects that may cause falls.
