• Proper position: The top of the cane should reach your wrist when you are standing upright. The elbow should be slightly bent.
• Walking: The cane and the injured leg should touch the ground at the same time. Place the cane slightly ahead before stepping.
• Stairs: Hold onto the handrail and support yourself with your good leg first, followed by the injured leg.
• Space arrangement: Remove rugs and cables, and avoid wet floors.
