The cane can be used in cases of minor balance problems, instability, weakness in the leg or trunk, or in case of injury or pain. It is useful for elderly people to support their independence.

Some tips for using the cane:

• The top of the cane should reach your wrist when you are standing upright.
• When walking, the cane and the injured leg should touch the ground at the same time.
• To go up stairs, hold the handrail and lean on your good leg, then bring up the injured leg.
• Arrange the space by removing obstacles that may cause falls.
